“I always tell my medical students that one can never rush the history-taking part of the medical examination, and that, in order to be effective and accurate, the physician must ask the questions himself. I cannot begin to count the number of times the diagnosis has been handed to me by the patient, just by allowing him or her enough time to talk and answer questions.”

Biography

Dr. Vallone has been practicing at NOVAMED since 2014. He graduated from Georgetown University’s College of Arts and Sciences and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1997. Being a Georgetown Hoya through and through, he then went on to complete his medical residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in 2000 and was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Medicine from 2000-2001 with Georgetown University Hospital.  He practiced with Family Physicians of Old Town Fairfax from 2001 to 2014.  He is board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Vallone was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and although he has been a Washingtonian since 1986, he can’t entirely deny his roots. But if you ask him, he’ll deny having a Brooklyn accent. He proudly attended Regis High School in New York City. Regis is a Jesuit school with close ties to Georgetown, and all applicants must compete to be granted a full four-year scholarship to Regis in order to attend. In 2004, he and his wife, Kristi were married at Georgetown University’s Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart.

Dr. Vallone is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine and has enjoyed teaching medical students both in his office and at the hospital since 2001. He has been selected numerous times by his patients for inclusion in “Washington Consumers’ Checkbook” as a “Top-Rated Primary Care Physician.”
